Specify roles for staff in a paper

Most of the roles in Compass are taken directly from the LMS, but in some cases the access types there don’t represent what you want to appear on the paper outline.  To manually change the roles within your paper – note that this does not change the level of Compass access – please use the Manually edit roles button on the paper homepage.  This allows you to specify:

  • Director(s)
  • Coordinator(s)
  • Lecturing staff
  • Teaching assistant(s)

These should be the real roles – as they don’t affect the level of access (ie: a director has no more permissions than anyone else etc) – please make sure that what you select is representative.  It is automatically propagated to your paper outline (which is publicly visible), your paper audit, and your teaching statistics.
