Superusers can change permissions for any user, including themselves. These changes cannot be undone, so if you un-super yourself you will not have the permissions required to be able to change it back!
Use the search field (a) to locate the person. Your search can include first name, last name, as well as the username. Click on the row (b) corresponding to the person whose permissions you want to change, which will open a pop-up window of available permissions. Use the checkboxes (c) to adjust the permissions, and click Save (d) to close.
Note that some permissions are not controlled here, but rather on an instance basis when they’re created. Such permissions include:
- Paper staff (teachers, coordinators, directors, teaching assistants, supporters). These are imported from the learning management system or added manually.
- Heads of departments or schools. These can be adjusted from the homepage of each department.
- Faculty managers. Details on changing these are shown on the Faculty managers page
- Programme planners. General permissions can be granted in the checkboxes above, which enables planners to create new programmes. Individual programme permissions have to be granted for each programme as described in the Add or edit planners page.
