Administrator

Administrators are people with edit access to all paper instances, as well as the ability to register new users, and edit their personnel information.  Much of their role here mirrors how secretarial staff have edit access to LMS papers – they work well in parallel.  Basically, they’re the super-useful folks who do all that pesky stuff which academics are supposed to (be able to) do for themselves, should they ever read documentation such as this and learn how to do it.  Administrators should be given chocolate and thanks on a regular basis.

Here’s a list of the basic things which an administrator needs to know.

  1. Check you have administrator permissions
  2. Add new staff members to Compass
  3. Add or change staff on a paper

Administrators can do more than this, and their permissions mimic those of a Teacher on a paper; please consult that page for information on how to edit a paper etc.
